TRANSFORMATIONAL IMPACT: Chelsea's vision is to minister alongside her husband Armin to disciple and train the young men of Vanuatu, for them to grow into godly and skilled men, husbands, and fathers.
MINISTRY FOCUS: The South Pacific country of Vanuatu consists of 83 tiny islands of over 300,000 people who speak more than 100 languages! Due to numerous economic challenges, many of its residents are extremely impoverished and those from the smaller islands are often uneducated. This includes many young men whose parents struggle to pay for their school fees or provide opportunities for them.
In response to the needs, Chelsea and Armin established Impact Ministry Vanuatu in 2022. They seek to feed, house, and train on average 12-16 young men, ranging in ages from 12 to 21. They teach them the trades such as construction, mechanics, and carpentry, while also seeking to disciple them through regular Bible study and devotional times.
Their desire is that these young men will one day obtain good jobs, in order to improve their lives and help provide for their families. They also are passionate to see them serve Christ and bring hope and healing to this tiny island nation.
MINISTRY HISTORY: Chelsea and Armin moved to Vanuatu separately in 2015 and 2016 respectively. They both had volunteered with various YWAM ministries, while Armin became the youth pastor at International Christian Church. They were married on the beach in 2019 and then founded Impact Ministry in 2022. They have always both had such a heart for youth ministry: when they saw a fellow missionary opening his home to struggling young men, they felt compelled to do likewise.
